The MW division was devoid of talent except for Jones, McClellan, Taylor, Reggie Johnson. The only 2 Hopkins faced he got schooled by :yep

So you haven't seen much Tarver then? Its pretty obvious you haven't seen the first Jones-Tarver fight or this fight:

More hypocracy your quoting examples of Jones Jr when he was clearly shot and crying like a ***** when someone does the same to Hopkins, except when some dont consider Hopkins shot as his best wins came after :deal

Something makes me think you hate Jones a bit more than BHOPs who you come to the defense of time and again, your obsession with homosexuality is a cause for concern

Let me base my opinions the way that smiley poster does

Tarver > Glen Johnson > Roy Jones

Yep that's right, Roy Jones couldn't **** with Tarver or Glen Johnson so he's just a ****ing bum who doesn't belong being ranked over guys like Tarver or Johnson because they knocked him the **** out.

    (pure sarcasm)

No your obsession with Roy Jones is cause for the comments about homosexuality.

Secondly, anyone who sights Hopkins's wins past his prime, aren't real boxing fans.

    "Some"

    Get the **** outta here.

here is bernard hopkins best 6 wins broken down, take away the smoke and mirrors, the hbo and ring magzaine brainwashing and this is what your left with :deal

    trinidad
    prime weight = welterweight (147)
fought hopkins at middleweight (159)
trinidads record at middleweight or above from hopkins onwards = 2 wins / 3 defeats

    winky wright
prime weight - light middleweight (154)
fought hopkins at - 170 lbs
in 57 fights, the hopkins fight was the only fight that wright had weighed over 160 lbs (a full 10lbs difference) :rofl

    de la hoya
    prime weight - welterweight (147lbs)
fought hopkins at - middleweight (160lbs)
de la hoya only fought twice in his career at middleweight out of 45 fights -1 win / 1 loss - the win was a very debatable decision over eurobum felix sturm

    pavlik
prime weight - middleweight (160 lbs)
fought hopkins at - 170 lbs
in 34 fights pavlik had only fought 2 minnions at the beginning of his career at 169. all pavliks fights since hopkins have been at the 160 limit.

    tarver
    prime weight 175
great 2 weight jump from hopkins and his best win despite tarver being a b-level fighter and going 3 wins / 3 losses from hopkins onwards.

    johnson
prime weight -super mid / light heavy (162 to 175)
fought hopkins at - middleweight (160)
    johnsons record at 160 + from hopkins onwards - 19 wins / 14 defeats / 2 draws
the defeats have come against people of the level of ottke, woods, shieka, gonzales, harmon, branco, vanderpool, Kiwanuka, sosa :rofl

then throw in hopkins 4 defeats to the only top class fighters he ever fought at a fair weight (jones, calzaghe, and taylor twice) and you get a true reflection of the career of bernard hopkins :deal

hahahaha you call Hopkins being 4 years removed from prison his "prime"?

    hahahahahahahahahahaha

Again, Tarver beat Roy, not once, but TWICE.

The James Toney win was nice, see unlike you I'm able to look at this from an unbiased standpoint.

I'm not saying Roy is a bum, I'm saying Roy doesn't belong in the same breath with someone who was middleweight champion for 8 years, won 27 straight title fights, and unified the division (cleaned it out).

Where did I say "all Jones did was beat Pazienza?"

Show me. You ****ing dumb douchebag.

I said that people sight Roy's win over Pazienza as his most impressive performance WHILE IGNORING THE FACT that Paz was at his best when he was a lightweight, and Paz broke his ****ing neck in a car accident prior to fighting Roy.

You had to know the Roy Jones homers would come out on this one, PROVING MY INITIAL POST RIGHT.

No real unbiased hardcore boxing fan tries to downgrade Hopkins's 27 straight title win run, or him unifying the division, or being champion for 8 straight years, NO REAL BOXING FAN DOES THIS.

Highlight watchers tend to overrate: Floyd, Manny, Roy, Tyson.

    learn the ****ing sport.

Roy is the best fighter of the 90's, I thought nobody could beat him during his prime. I think going down sounth of the HW division has something to do with that lost against tarver. That and the fact that he lost his athleticism due to age. Prime Roy Jones Jr was unbeatable.

You are the same guy who would try to downgrade Larry Holmes's 8 year impressive reign as world heavyweight champion too.

Larry Holmes and Bernard Hopkins are very similar, these highlight watchers completely underrate their efforts and contributions to the history of boxing.

Let me guess, Holmes got knocked out by Tyson about 2,500 buffet visits after his prime, so he's a bum too.
