Yeah I agree that he is overrated to some extend.I agree with you also about Tyson. But Floyd and especially Pac have done enough to be respected.
AlisJab is a bit ridiculous, he is not seeing why he is actually one of the reasons why boxing is horrible, his attitude about fighters after they get KO'd.
what a ludicorous statement. larry holmes was one of my favourite fighters and in my atg heavyweight list that i have posted on numerous occasions, holmes has been ranked 3/4 alongside lennox lewis. so quit the false accusations you nobhead and reply to my earlier post about bernard hopkins (below) that you so conveniantly ignored earlier by deflecting attention away with your false accusation. here is bernard hopkins best 6 wins broken down, take away the smoke and mirrors, the hbo and ring magzaine brainwashing and this is what your left with :deal trinidad prime weight = welterweight (147) fought hopkins at middleweight (159) trinidads record at middleweight or above from hopkins onwards = 2 wins / 3 defeats winky wright prime weight - light middleweight (154) fought hopkins at - 170 lbs in 57 fights, the hopkins fight was the only fight that wright had weighed over 160 lbs (a full 10lbs difference) :rofl de la hoya prime weight - welterweight (147lbs) fought hopkins at - middleweight (160lbs) de la hoya only fought twice in his career at middleweight out of 45 fights -1 win / 1 loss - the win was a very debatable decision over eurobum felix sturm pavlik prime weight - middleweight (160 lbs) fought hopkins at - 170 lbs in 34 fights pavlik had only fought 2 minnions at the beginning of his career at 169. all pavliks fights since hopkins have been at the 160 limit. tarver prime weight 175 great 2 weight jump from hopkins and his best win despite tarver being a b-level fighter and going 3 wins / 3 losses from hopkins onwards. johnson prime weight -super mid / light heavy (162 to 175) fought hopkins at - middleweight (160) johnsons record at 160 + from hopkins onwards - 19 wins / 14 defeats / 2 draws the defeats have come against people of the level of ottke, woods, shieka, gonzales, harmon, branco, vanderpool, Kiwanuka, sosa :rofl then throw in hopkins 4 defeats to the only top class fighters he ever fought at a fair weight (jones, calzaghe, and taylor twice) and you get a true reflection of the career of bernard hopkins :deal
Everytime ive read this masterpiece of a poster, it has sent shivers down my spine at how great and accurate it is. Facts :deal It makes me laugh how these bias fools discredit Calzaghe for coming up in weight and beating their hero, yet want to see this alledged shadow fight Pascal . Bias. If it wasnt for the very few ESB greats like Headbanger who pwns minions with ease, and puts them in their place, I wouldnt set foot on this site, for the amount of nationalistic bias on it. Luckily the balance has been restored as Headbanger successfully Pwns Alisjab, making him wilt like sick puppy and putting him back into line. A note to Alisjab... Your not the first to be destroyed by Headbanger and you wont be the last, so try not to be too hard on yourself :vonnecunt wha: Well done for some excellent work again
wow, what an absoloute honour it is to recieve such glowing praise from a poster at the peak of his powers, elite esb titan and atg debater bailey atsch its sometimes hard to keep educating these ignorant minnions. they sit around reading their bias ring magazine comic and have their ears continually open to the delusional brain washing on hbo :dead:dead:dead i just try to keep it real around this place and deliver cutting edge analysis with the use of irrefutable scienticic facts to back my astute opinions :deal
Well if you had better comprehension you would understand that Roy's cherry picking is why I don't rank him up with the ATG's, not the knockout. A Roy homer was swooning about how Roy looked in the first fight with Tarver and I RESPONDED TO HIM by posting Roy getting KTFO in the second round.
So you resort to reposting a post that I already destroyed earlier, it's OK though. My main point of this post wasn't Bernard or Roy, it was the culture of fans as a whole, so good job debunking or proving nothing. Actually you prove me right.
Watch me school you: Bernard's best career accolades: oh let's see, how about being middleweight champion for 8 years and cleaning out the entire division, something NOBODY else from this era has done in any weight class. So you can cherry pick fighters and post biased opinions about them trying to taint each fighter, but it just proves that you have an axe to grind and are merely trying to play the devil's advocate. If you were unbiased, you would see that Roy Jones Jr's career reads very similar to that of a Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao. Right fights at the right time. It's that simple, they fought and fight the right guys at the right time. Forget the fact that Bernard gave great fighters from this era like Glen Johnson and Felix Trinidad their first losses of their careers, forget the fact that you totally undermined the great efforts and contributions from fighters like Syd Vanderpool who was able to out point a Glen Johnson but do you mention him? No, because you don't know boxing. Vanderpool/Johnson was a fantastic fight. I'm also certain that you saw William Joppy's career from the point in time where he knocked out Roberto Duran in the 3rd round and only lost one fight in the next 5 years prior to fighting B-Hop and that was against Trinidad. After that point in time Joppy started to slip because his losses were to Trinidad, Hopkins, and ****ing Jermaine Taylor when JT was on top of his game. After that point he totally fell off the map. They broke him down. Not to mention every other top 15 contender in the middleweight division that Bernard Hopkins laid to waste. Let's ignore that because someone wants to home cook and spin the way a fighter faired after fighting Hopkins. Makes a lot of sense, oh and you need to work on your grammar and spelling.
Oh and notice I didn't even need to pull out Hopkins's wins over De La Hoya, Tarver, Pavlik, and Winky Wright because those are just the icing on the cake to his career. The fact that Hopkins was the first guy to knock out De La Hoya really means nothing to me. OK, it's pretty special, but like I said, icing on the cake.
