    Erm, I'm going to disagree.

Rahman has PLENTY of flaws, no doubt. But his long right was dynamite. And Lewis wasn't the only one to feel it.

I think Maskaev just had his number based on being a little faster and sharper with his punches. Rahman couldn't seem to break Oleg's defense like other guys have done with looped right hands or left hooks.

Maskaev beat Rahman the first time when Rahman was at his peak. Vitali will murder Peter.

The rabid KLIT-ites just can't keep from talking about their man in every thread.

This was supposed to be about Rahman's legacy...or any fighter whose legacy might have been associated with canceled or never made fights.

I appreciated the Lewis-Bowe reference...is that all we got...???

Rahman's claim to the linear/unified heavyweight title alone makes his legacy greater than Vitali's. 50 years from now you're bound to hear Rahman's name come up on that alone, but no.. Vitali not fighting Rahman does not enhance his legacy in any way.

As a matter of fact.. I never even hear this matter brought up by anyone other than a Klitschko detractor.

We all know that Vitali is aRahmaphobic. As soon as Maskaev won, Vitali wasn't so injured anymore.

Vitali was injured. Rhaman would be an easy target. Maskaev and Ruiz beat him.

How so? Vitali just tried to come back last year and was injured. Was he afraid of McCline as well? You guys make a lot of sense. I love how you continue to ignore the fact that he had to undergo surgery. I don't know too many people who are faking injuries, that actually need surgery to correct their fake injury.

He was afraid that if he fought McCline, McCline would pull out and be replaced by Rahman. It was a pre-emptive ducking of Rahman.

If an injury was fake, it logically follows that the surgery was fake.

Why would Vitali pull out of a fight he was expected to be in if not out of fear? He turned down a combined purse in all of his pull-outs of over 20 million. You don't turn down that kind of money unless you are scared of your superior opponent.

No, you don't sign the fight to begin with if you are scared. You don't pass up paydays, pay sparring partners and trainers for nothing, ect... just for the hell of it.

You ask why Vitali would pull out of the fight? Uhmmm... because he was injured. Did you forget already? Or is a torn meniscus and a torn MCL not a good enough injury for you?

He had to fight Rahman. Hasim was his mandatory. Vitali was forced into it and bottled it on multiple occasions, just like he quit against Chris Byrd and took steroids in the amateurs.

But the injuries were faked. He was scared of being seen to quit again, albeit against a dangerous puncher rather than a legendarily feather-fisted one.

You are so full of knowledge. I am sure the amazing display that Vitali saw Rahman put on against Barrett scared him into retirement. Vitali also brought his training team, the doctors in on the faked injury. They even underwent a mock surgery. It's all clear now.
