Yep its essentially a knockout competition starting at the quarter-final stage which was decided by a draw. The draw for the heavyweight one was seeded but usually they aren't.

3 x 3 minute rounds and if anybody gets injured and is unable to continue there are replacements who are usually **** that replace them.

Winner gets £20,000 and perhaps just as importantly it DOES seem to open doors, just see Rogan.

But it all takes place in one evening? So the winner will have fought three times (assuming he isn't a replacement) in a span of a few hours?

Yeah. But they get longish breaks between the fights of course so its not that bad.

Can't be harder than doing 8 or 10 rounds cosecutively.

Sounds right.....still a bit concerning on Hides part. He did/does have freakish power and although I haven't been up to date in seeing his recent points wins against journeymen, you would think he should still be sparking them out even with a drop in speed, timing etc.

I look forward to seeing how he looks when I watch it tomorrow....should still be able to gauge if hes up to world level from this.

Yeah, I want Hide to win. Is anyone worried about his whiskers though?

I'd be interested to understand what conditions Hide accepted to take to be part of this tournament. It makes no sense at all for him to come here seemingly on the brink of a world title shot to fight people who are not even on his radar. Has he been guaranteed a world title shot by Hearn and this is just a vehicle to get him a bit of exposure to pack them in?

Easy money as he might see it?

To get some exposure and push his case? He's been in line to fight eliminators and stuff for ages but it never happens, his people don't give a **** about him. He might either want to get UK TV interested or to sign with someone else.

  9. It will be entertaining viewing if nothing else.

    Fifty grand American???

What's coming up after super bantamweight?

Please tell me it's at least 168lbs or above. I will ****ing MOVE to the UK (was born with dual citizenship since my dad was from Liverpool before moving here as a kid...they've since changed that law but those of us lucky enough to make the cutoff got grandfathered in :D) and train my ass off. Three to nine rounds against journeymen and/or green prospects? **** YES. Sign me the **** up. I can hit like a mule if nothing else.

I think thats the beauty of the tournament it allows some fighters exposure/opportunities greater than they ever could get through their current means. Where could Prince Arron make a purse of £32 000 before this fight

It will be the easiest 32 grand that he has ever earned. The rest are hopelessly outclassed.

Basically if he wins this, then he has options. He will be more popular in the UK for one.

    1. Could fight for the British and Commonwealth titles.
    2. Could fight Enzo for European title.
    3. Could go the WBC route.
    4. Could go WBO route.

It'd be a race to unconsciousness.
