well what can i say, just when i thought the opinion on you couldnt get any worse on here you post that, i actually didnt mean to hit a nerve in the last post i was putting everything to bed i said fair enough to your reasoning

also i never implied i was better than you in this thread, i just smelled BS with your post on why you dont box, only a ***git would say "i dont wanna lose my looks", but after reading your last post it seems you are a bit of a ***git

why would you consider wanting to kill yourself over your looks??if your that insecure about yourself id recommend go see a specialist, and listing your successes in life to belittle me doesnt bother me if your the prime minister of england or on the dole i wont feel belittled in anyway, but hey post anyway im sure the other lads on here wont mind seeing you make an even bigger fool of yourself, at least we already know you wont have any boxing achievements in your "successes in life":patsch

I've done most disciplines for a short time (karate, boxing, MMA), I'm best at MMA but age has caught up with me after a lot of sports, a dodgy ankle and useless elbow mean I'm now an observer only. I do light workouts with my mate who's a power lifter, rugby player and general fitness fanatic but my best days are behind me unfortunately! Plus I never had the discipline to make a pro, I spent 5 years as a gigging musician too in my early twennies and the lifestyle was too much to train as well.

Boxing is my favourite to watch though, I love studying fighters old and new, and marvel at the hard road they take to get to the top. I KNOW I couldn't do it.

Respect to those that do!! :good

i always found headguards to be a hindrance,do more damage having one than not.
never wore one, except in fights, and i still got my ravishing good looks :smooch

I can't stand that bar across headguard, i disliked even wearing headguard used to throw it off as a kid when it was moving around head.

As some have said the punches i didn't mind taking, i think you acclimatize to it. The worse punches are ones you don't see coming. Punches to nose and stomach hurt obviously. Nose is a ******* cos your eyes water and makes you seem like a ***** crying .

I hate this. And your focus goes to your watery eyes instead of your sparring partner.

I have always sparred without headgear (whole half year I have boxed) but decided my nose needs some protection.

alot of the pros wear fg5000 and I have heard nothing but good things about it.

Exactly, it don't even hurt sometimes and that's what makes it worse . I sparred my mate otherweek without headgear on. Felt so good, dangerously good . I agree with fighters wearing them in sparring and if my session was more intense i'd need to wear one. He is a few stone heavier . I don't think i'd get on with a nose bar across though. Maybe someday is my nose turns to a mess .

 Yeah might as well let it get worse, so far it's held up well. Art of defence lads ;).

  12. Brutal self ownage here.

You can try the Bertie Big Bollocks routine but it won't impress anyone. I'm not sure what your background is if you think that because you might have more money than someone it means you're better than them.... very shallow indeed.

I can just imagine us sparring, Mand. I'd start out fast jabbing and moving, you're pressing the fight trying to take me to deep waters...you come on as i'm leading and i'm hanging on for dear life. Will the clinching take me over the line...;);)
