"don't wanna get ugly" implies you have a rather high opinion of yourself and your appearance. Therfore, I sarcastically said 'How modest of you', not meaning that I thought you were being vain by not boxing. So thats why I think you got your wires crossed.

 

I used to do a bit, nothing serious. I used to try to wind people up in the Lounge by saying I was actually pretty good, but they all seemed to believe me.:blood Yeah, when I was a kid my best mate was Michael Carruth's nephew, so obviously being around that family got me into it for a short time.

Much like Rob though, I'm far too handsome to take part in any brutality.

 

Don't worry about your looks just be really slick and you wont take any damage

Started training just for fitness bout 5 yrs ago, got the bug straight away, now coming up to 45 yrs of age wouldnt compete, tho was on a white collar show back in nov, loads of family & friends turned up only for me opponent not to show.. suppose it could of been a blessing..lol.. Love the pads & love a little light sparring with the younger boys.. Michael Lomax trains us on a regular basis so too share a ring on numerous occasions with a pro boxer is good enough for me... cheers guys...

 

thats what boot polish is for, have to admit it doesn't go down all too well with Winston and Tyrone but its a small price to pay for keeping those looks.

 

I have a soft face. Look young for my age. Small facial features. If i got a flat nose it would make me look ugly when right now...I am not. Thats not being vain.

I like the way my face looks. My GF likes the way my face looks. I don't want it to change. If I boxed reguarly it would.

lol at the excuse of i didnt want to lose my looks or i dont wanna get ugly i have been boxing i long time now and im as handsome as ever..............no seriously though what a pathetic excuse, you lot think a few sparring sessions and your nose is flat, it takes years of punishment day in day out for your face to start gett bashed up
