I guess we'll find out if Mosley has aged too much. IMO he'll most likley loose, but it's definatly not a forgone conclusion, he's been nothing short of great throughout his career. Personally, I hope Mosley wins....

He couldn't even wobble Cotto and he landed plenty of overhand rights so there goes the theory of his great power at 147. Margo wins this one on workrate alone I think. People were surprised and commented how Cotto made Mosley look like a little boy when they expected the opposite since Mosley was coming down from 154. Margarito is slightly thicker than Cotto but a hell of a lot taller with longer arms to boot.

Shane loses this one 116-112 being outworked by the younger, busier fighter.

I think we are all over-estimating Mosley. Who has Mosley beat recently to make him a contender?

When he was good at 147 he lost twice badly to Forrest who hasn't done **** since. At 154 he lost twice badly to Wright who hasn't done **** since. Goes back to 147 to lose a not very competitive performance against Cotto. Moves back up to 154 to almost lose a fight to Mayorga until he landed his sweet KO in the last second.

To be honest, I love the guy, but he keeps getting so many opportunities, I don't remember the last time I've seen him beat anyone of significance. He's definitely HOF status, and has a legacy similar to DLH for fighting all-comers so there's always a chance, just a very slim one.

In Mosely's glory days this would have been a much better fight.

I think Margarito stops him. This is one fight too far for Shane. It will be competitive early but Shane is gonna get busted up in the second half of he fight.

Painful as it is (as a Shane fan), I have to co-sign this 100%.

And for the record, Shane is NOT the type who can stick and move and box his way to a decision.

The reason that Mosley looked bad against Mayo was because of his carzy style that can give anybody trouble and also his weight he came like at 170 on fight night and still he knock him out and also there is an interview where Shane say's that.

And about stronger how can Margo be more then the Mayorga at 154 that Mosley fought like i said he came at 170 or more at fight night that's very heavy but i agree with the rest that you said.

Well in less then the last 3 years he got 2 solid stoppage wins over Fernando Vargas,Ricardo Mayorga and a easy win over Luis Collazo whos getting a title shot himself soon so if Mosley isnt deserving then Collazo sure as hell aint.

When he was good at 147 he lost twice badly to Forrest who hasn't done **** since.
Forrest has gone on since to win a Junior Middleweight Champion on 2 different occassions.
At 154 he lost twice badly to Wright who hasn't done **** since.
Winky went on to shutout Felix Trinidad,Dominate Ike Quartey and most felt like he deserved to win the Middleweight Championship when he drew with Jermain Taylor.
Goes back to 147 to lose a not very competitive performance against Cotto.
Not very competitive is winning maybe 2-3 rounds. Mosley clearly won atleast 5,Most felt like he got a draw while others felt he did enough to win. Very close fight.
Moves back up to 154 to almost lose a fight to Mayorga until he landed his sweet KO in the last second.
Almost losing would mean him having been down on the cards he had that fight won on the cards going into the 12th round so unless Mosleys ass was going down he was winning regardless.

To be honest, I love the guy, but he keeps getting so many opportunities, I don't remember the last time I've seen him beat anyone of significance. He's definitely HOF status, and has a legacy similar to DLH for fighting all-comers so there's always a chance, just a very slim one.

Mayorga has been a high-paid punching bag since and including the time he got KTFO Tito.

I am sure in your deluded mind Mosely, an ex-135 pounder, is the hardest punching WW in the world right now.

I can't see Mosely keeping AM honest at all. Mosely will tire. Margo won't.

Good luck to both fighters, hope SSM's brain survives this one.

Yes, most people here are counting out Mosley too fast. He has the experience, speed, and power to hang with Margarito to win a decision.

I think people are underestimating Mosely.

I also think they are doing a combination of:
    (1) overestimating the power of the punches Margo took from Cotto;
    and
    (2) underestimating the long-term effect those punches had on him.

Cotto rarely set himself and punched Margo as he should have, except at the end of Round 4. Despite that, I think Cotto's punches could have an effect on Margo.

Shane has a good enough chin to put this theory to the test. He will step in and land some really good punches on Margo. And his power is good enough to at least keep Margo honest long enough to bank a few rounds early (at least 4) which will almost leave Margo needing a KO if Shane can sneak a couple more rounds. And THAT will be interesting if Shane realizes he is probably up on points and can run from Margo. I don't see Margo KOing him in that situation.

    Still, Margo wins it 115-113

I don't agree with this at all. Fighters don't run away from shots if they think they can just casually "eat" punches. Cotto's a great fighters, but he fought the last round against Mosely the same way Oscar fought the 12th against Tito. Why does Oscar get so much **** for running away from Tito but Cotto gets a free pass for doing the exact same thing against Shane?

He ran away until the final bell tolled. I scored Cotto-Mosely a draw, had no problem with Cotto getting the nod, but best believe Miguel was the more relieved fighter when that fight ended.

I have a feeling this is going to look alot like Hopkins vs. Pavlik, Mosley being BHOP of course. Not only that but the situation is very similar.

co-sign....neither have outrageous power but i'd say there power is good, i'd rate it a 8/10

but regardless you dont have to hurt your opponent to win, just have to win more rounds, and i think Mosley can do that

Yeah Shane is a bit faster than Cotto off the the back foot he'll be able to move in spots that Cotto didn't and Margo is going to respect his power he might knock Margarito out i see wear and tear in dude unless Margarito learns how to box overnight no one has ever really been fast enough to just out right bang with Shane Mosely even in his older age but if you gotta nice :bbband some good movement you can beat him...Antonio does not have this.

This fight is on my birthday!

    It's gonna be Sweet.
