We won't ever see as successful a fighter at such an early age. I am pretty sure of that.

Bingo!!! Someone that uderstood the purpose of the thread...a naturally gifted boxer taht at the age of 15 and 17 achieved what never ben done before or since....his understanding of the seet science was incredible..he was a natural of a boxer as you would ever find...instintive on his defensive display...

And sure he pick at an early age and as someone mentioned never improved much from that point...for the reasons I mentioned, he never trained properly and his father let him slide due to his incredible talent..at 17 pound per pound we will never see anything like it...never

Maybe we are never gonna see someone turn Champion at that age. It is very impressive, very impressive.

More talented that Benitez? Leonard, Jones, Mayweather.

El Radar was incredible, in my opinion he just never lived up to his potential....drugs destroyed many from my heritage but sorry Orish I'm gonna have to disagree with you to an extent, we have seen those with talent that is either on par or better with RJJ, Floyd, Swea Pea....but in Wilfreds defense he is probably top 3 which is outstanding.

...at 17 RJJ was just a kid trying to make it thru the amateurs, so was Floyd and Sweet Pea...remember that..which is the point of the thread..

He never deliver to his maximun potential for his lack of trainingplain and simple

I realize that and this is what makes him such an incredible oddity but your thread stats will we ever see someone with the same talent and the answer is yes. Will we see someone peak at such an early age....probably not.

if that isnt what i consider as being naturally gifted and talented, then, i don't know what is.

And in my opinion, dedication, passion, diligence and having a natural gift and talent for the game is what makes one a master of the sweet science. with constant effort, resiliency and mastery, a fighter who may not be that good at first can also eventually achieve greatness.

by the way, i agree when you said wilfred benitez is a natural, as a lot of boxers in the past were and even at present as well. just as RJJ undeniably is.:good

Started watching boxing in 2007? :-(

Hard not to assume so for a Mayweather hater who says he fights "bum" boxers and and out of his peak DLH...
