Benny More was the greatest ever, but given your preference for Puerto Ricans I though I would keep it local and not include Cubanos.

And btw I wasn't speaking stricly of soneros, but of salseros.

Yet, shouldn't talent also include what boxers can do at 20, 23, 34, etc.?

Isn't the ability to adapt your style to your body as it matures also a talent? In fact I would argue that any definition of talent, even raw talent, should include a fighters ability to know his body, limitations, etc., and adjust accordingly.

If not, your arguing for a definition that only speaks to raw, physical talent, and doesn't include the mental aspects of athleticism.

It's interesting how you don't have RJJ ranked as a top 100 ATG but Benitez is.:deal

No I don't feel we'll ever see someone as talented as Wilfred certainly not at the age he was when he beat Cerventes he boxed a master class against of the divisions best ever. Benitez was a truly unbelievable fighter he was only 15 and ranked 15 is still a kid. There may be fighter who achieve more but I don't anyone will have his talent and skill set at such a young age he could execute a gameplan to perfection in his late teens it a shame his prime didn't last longer.

How do you know Jones or anyone else could not have done better had they grew up fighting pros instead of amateurs? Jones was a stand out amateur and adapted to the game quickly. Surely, there is some relation there. You are obviously biased and you don't seem to accept other people's views. Benitez's extreme natural talent couldn't stop him from getting KO'd by Leonard.

Thats unreal. How could you justify that? This is the problem with Orisha, he knows boxing very well but his bias is soooo strong.

We have been round and round about it. He thinks Jones resume is weak, not just weak in relative terms, but thinks it is VERY weak. There is no real reason to argue the point. He openly dismisses the fighters on the resume. He simply doesn't think Jones fought good fighters at all.

What? You didnt consider wilfredo's sixth sense for punches and reflexes were not physical attributes?
