Did you fight in the war? Why are you so proud of something you had absolutely nothing to do with? Is your life that empty? Do something with your own life that you can be proud of and not hold on to something that happened decades before you were born.

Keep believing your rhetorical propaganda its good for nationalism to believe you actually beat a super power. The reality is when you wake up America got tired of whipping your azz. If you call that a victory so be it.

I think it is a mix. I was reading a news report a couple of years ago, and what we see are only 1% of boxers on TV. These are usually the boxers that big promotion companies promote. If you are a talented fighter and you do not sign with a big promotion company, then you are f*cked when it comes to getting TV time, commercials, endorsements, fans, and $ at the negotiation table. I see Roman Gonzales, 41-0 (35 KOs) top 5 p4p on Ring Magazine, never seen him on TV or talked about on the forum.

If you are a sh!tty boxer with a big promotion company, expect hype, commercials, news stories, tons of fans on the hype train, and $ at the negotiation table. I think of Amir Kahn, 33-3 (19 KOs), who is promoted by Golden Boy and really hasn't had many big victories lately.

True_Hero when i was younger there was this kid in our neighborhood a little fellow no one really bothered with because he was a little off. The thing is if you kicked this kids azz the little bizas**** wanted to fight every time he saw you. Well the little kid never won but you had to fight him every time. Eventually there is no satifaction in kicking his azz you start to avoid him because Im tired of KICKING HIS AZZ.

This is pretty much what I think of when I compare fighters of yesteryear and today. I find it is more useful to compare their accomplishments, such as championship records.

I do think some old timers who were the best in the world would get their ass kicked today, but if they trained liked today would be the best in the world. I do think some boxers today are so ****ty that I would not be surprised if the technique of an old school boxer just completely clowned a boxer of today.

No need to thank me. It was just something I did when I was a young man. I spent time in Vietnam, Thailand, The Philippines, Okinawa, Guam and Taiwan. I was in intelligence so I moved around a lot. It's kind of sad to hear True Hero speak as he does. My old boss was a bomber pilot during WW II and one of our clients was a Zero fighter pilot from Japan. They used to joke about the Zero fighter pilot probably having shot at my old boss. Most people move on with their lives. Holding on to stuff like that means not much is going on with your life right now.

LOL you keep yourself that, son.

Over 50 thousand of Americas finest got killed by fishermen and farmers.

You had to resort to bombing villages and gassing children and even then you still lost.

    Answer me this, boy.

Did America achieve the objectives they set out to meet?

If the answer is no, then YOU LOST.

Now repeat that back to me, boy. I want to make sure that you understand.

    Shut up, BOY!

Boxing is more global than ever with more worldwide participants yet people like you just complain because boxing is no longer a regional contest between Muricans, some brits and a handful of flotsam from S American and Western/Central Europe.

As usual, you wear your stupidity on your sleeve...

u s and p r fighters/talent pool appears to be on the decline but e euro's are making up for it.

asians fighters are going to also become more prominent as tr is opening up asian/china market.
