Yeah, seems everyone is buying into the hype.....they all parrot the same thing, " Manny's too fast and accurate ".

Also, Manny has most of the celebrities on his side....Sly Stallone and Mickey Rourke stopped by and rapped with Roach along with a few others.

Manny will lose but he will be ok, because he will lose to a true welterweight champ and the Media will ensure they get that point across !!!!

    Go Cotto....whoop that ASS !!!!

I think it'll be the toughest fight of Pac's career and I'm a little surprised the debate on this seems one sided.

Boo, it doesn't happen often between us - but you are absolutely right on this. The Margarito beating seems to be what Roach is banking on too - and I think it's going to be a huge mistake.

Cotto couldn't hold Margo off, but he'll be able to throw Manny round like a rag-doll.

I'm not too sure about your last comment but I completely agree that it is strange to base an opinion on a fight Cotto had with a man whom is far different to Pacman. Margarito poses much different problems.

The problems that Margarito poses were exposed in the LA Times ( Thurs edit)
they were asking Cotto about the fight and showed him the pictures of Margarita's wrapped hands while in the ring celebrating his win and there is a piece of wrap peeling off and exposing the illegal inserts for the world to see.

The irony is that Margarita is done....cheating ******* !!!!!

I think the damaged goods claim comes because after a loss a fighters confidence seems to go away to a certain degree. I don't think that will be the case with Cotto as I am pretty sure he's convinced that Margo cheated. To go on and see the guy that he beat, completly destroy Margo has to help

Cotto is the lightest that he has been in three years. Therefore he might the fastest he has been in three years.

I think that a lot of people are still nursing the wounds from picking Hatton against Pac. Picking Oscar was understandable, but picking Hatton was idiocy.

He'd been getting hurt by moderate punchers, had abandoned his defence and was clearly mediocre himself in the extreme. He got Tyszu at the right time, and it was the same story for Castillo - his two best wins.

Manny was always going to demolish him.

  11. there are so many variables in this fight. on one hand, pacquiao has never really been tested at this weight. how will react if he gets hit flush on the chin? can he take the body punches?plus, cotto is not your average ww. he's top level competition. a big strong agressive welterweight. on the other hand, will margarito suddenly appear in the ring if the going gets tough for cotto? i think he was in the ring when he fought clottley. in any case, the man who makes the other back up will win the fight. pacquiao doesnt fight very well going backwards and cotto tires when he fights that way. its gonna be one hell of a fight regardless.

To tell you the truth, a lot of people in PR ask me about the fight and who I think will win because they know im a boxing fan. I been telling everyone that Cotto will win. People tell me "But Manny is extremelly good" and I tell them: Hey, Cotto will win and Manny will still be better than Cotto.

Thruth is that even though I think Cotto will win, I dont think Cotto will ever achieve what Manny has.
