He's jumping up two divisions, he may not carry his power. If he doesn't carry his power I think this fight is 50/50 because if he hasn't carried his power he won't be able to put Malinaggi into defensive mode. Malinaggi has a very good chin and if he can take Broners shots he's going have the confidence to let his own go and if that happens he's going to land a lot for sure.

I rate Broner highly offensively but I don't believe his defence is too hard to break, especially for a skilled fighter like Malinaggi so if Broner doesn't tag Paulie hard early I believe this could be a great fight.

If Broner carries the power though I think he'll put Paulie into defensive mode early and Broner will just punch away all night until the ref steps in. It all hinges on how he carries that power IMO.

iirc Broner came in at ~150 for the Rees fight. I think he looked slow as hell in that fight though. His ability to defend the body is horrid. He would get murdered to the body by the hard hitters at 140. Footwork is suspect. Could see Paulie potshotting him to a UD, dead serious. Broner is a semi-hypejob.

No, 135 to 147 is not a big deal. They should just get rid of 140. There's no need for it.
