This ain't no kinda slam-dunk for Cotto. I have real doubts about him against Mayorga. Hope Manny lends the x-factor.

Cotto's greatness has nothing to do with his skillset... it has everything to do with the fact that he'll fight ANYBODY, he doesn't make excuses, he's humble and he's a true warrior. That's what endears him to boxing fans and his lack of punch resistance is part of what makes him so exciting. Watch his fight against Torres and you'll see what I mean. Cotto has the heart of a champion.

couldnt of said it any better

Cotto may get wobbled once or twice i think...Mayorga will bang with him.

But i think we will see Cotto use more movement, i dont think ES will want him to get into a rough fight, i think thats playing into Mayorga's hands. I wouldnt trust Cotto's chin either.

Highly doubt it. This is probably his last chance and he knows it, plus he looks like he has put some serious training in the gym.

Theres no problem, Im just talking about that overall "greatness" factor that A+ fighters have that sets them apart from the other top guys. That sort of great control and composure in the ring that the guys who have beat Mayorga have shown. Cotto may very well be great. I think he is on some levels.

if this is going to be his year he has to start off strong by beating mayorga soundly. i think he is way more dedicated now and has a mission in front of him. its how he bounces back and deals with things this year
