Is the goldenboy actually shot or does he just look bad in front of technical fighters? I think he will get one more belt before retirement. I mean, he definately has the most impressive loss to Floyd. And I can't think of anyone out right now within Floyd's weight range that could have beaten him. So I am asking if we are being too hard on the golden boy who if he is guilty of anything might be guilty of taking on fights he knows are impossible to win. If he had been more careful he might have a much more solid resume. I for instance, would never have fought my old sparring buddy going back to teenage years (mosley). Who would know the ins and outs of your style better than an old sparring buddy?

I thought he did a pretty good job - compared to what Floyd does to his other opponents. I have to get Oscar credit and still think he'll beat some of the top Welterweights and Jr. Middleweights out there.

For some reason - he fought really stiff against Mayweather. If he loosens up and have some fun again - he'll give anyone a tough fight. Bring on Cotto!

Oscar is past his prime but not shot.

His defense against Mayweather was impressive, and he was doing good work with his jab. His stamina, which was been inconsistent throughout his career, failed him, and his legs aren't what they were before.

He conceivably could probably beat some of the top 154 lb. fighters out there, but I doubt he has the desire to do so. He can get motivated to be in good shape for top p4p fighters in Mayweather and Hopkins, or a loud trash mouth like Mayorga, but I doubt he has the desire to fight guys like Stinks or Karmazin or Forrest.

I doubt Oscar has any interest in moving up the rankings and trying to restablish himself on the scene anymore, he's just out there looking for superfights to make a **** load of money by living of past achievements.

yes. the man fought very well for his age, both real age and ring age, against argueably the best p4p fighter in the world. The fight was close and that is more than can be said about a ton of floyd fights.

Also, Oscar continues to fight the best out there mixed in with some tune ups. That is what fighters should be doing.

Not only that, but by staying in the mix he continues to bring fans to the sport and his GBP has put together some of the biggest fights in Recent Boxing History.

Oscar, like it or not, is great for the sport and in truth can still whooop most anyone out there, even at this stage in his career.

he's completely lost the bounce in his legs.

    I consider him shot.

Mosley is imo past prime but not shot.

DLH needed to pump the jab at Mayweather as he predicted he would before the fight. When asked in a post fight interview why he didn't do it, he had no reply. That is an indication that his tme has past. Every boxer must retire eventually, DLH should do it now.
