How many guys have move back and forth around 160 and 168 Isal. Are you even aware of difficulty moving from 160 to 168 has been historically? But if you are, make sure you point out some ATG's that made that jump with ease, because that'll certainly back your point.

 

Only the Hopkins and Canelo fans have issues with him staying at 160.

His team has said repeatedly they will move up if a fight makes sense or after he unifies/breaks the consecutive title defenses record. Rest assured after he does move up they will all be claiming he did it to avoid whatever JMW's were on the verge of moving to MW.

 

Golovkin is different according to his stans. He ko HWs. He's more skilled than Kovalev and Ward according to hus fans. He's better suited for 168 according to his trainer, and his resume is garbage.. So yes, he needs to use his super powers to build a legacy.

In 2015 Cotto defended his MW title won at a CATCHWEIGHT against Daniel Geale at another CW.

In 2015 Cotto requested that his fight against Canelo be held at a CW of 155 and prior to the fight Miguel Cotto threw the WBC MW title in the garbage.

In 2016 Canelo and Khan fought in a strictly money fight at a CW of 155.

Shortly after Canelo also threw away that pathetic excuse of a title in the garbage.
