Maybe you were around this board when the consensus was that titles should be defended at the limit. Have you compromised your own standards, or were always one who didn't care if world titles were defended at a CW?

Lara has not a single win at MW. Let me know when he racks one up.

Don't be so dense dude....yes, he would be undersized at 168. But in terms of risk versus reward, he stood to make a lot more money fighting those two in one-shots at 168 then actually campaigning full time at 168.

But I guess your one of those who is cool with Ward's three tune ups before facing Kov while 3G MUST face Ward right away at 168.

Oh yeah...but..but Abel said...blah blah...

Are you even aware that HBO has the final say in all this. They want it to be big. Just as they were a part of Ward's signing to them on the basis he faces Kov after a few tune ups. But by all means...conveniently ignore that factoid.

Canelo isn't having issues building a legacy, now is he?

25 yaers old and his resume completely chits all over 35 year old Golovkin's.

 that doesn't change the fact that your insistence 3G fights in 2 divisions, while allowing the lineal MW champ to drop the belt and move down instead shows how f*cked up a nuthugger you are.

Canelo has fought at WW, JrMW, and MW. He's chased the top fighters, and has created for himself a resume any 25 year old would be proud of, hell a resume Golovkin would be proud of having... :deal

Unusual way of putting it but still 100% correct
If GGG retires without beating Canelo, Jacobs, Quillen etc it wont be his fault. It will be THEIRS!! none of them have the stones to fight him

Give me a break.... when you are brought up as the next "Golden Boy" of course you get those fights easy. That what happens when you nuthug ODLH and now Canelo...you lose perspective of what others fighter have to go through. Damn your dumb and simple...

Still...doesn't change the fact that you are fine with your boy embarrassing himself and giving a belt up rather then fighting someone you think he'll beat. :patsch

Neither does Brook. Nor has even fought at 154. Ether.

Who said campaign full time? He can move back down after a few fights there if he chooses. And he stood to make a lot moving down just 5 lbs for Canelo too. Neither happened...as we see. Ether.

The proposed agreement with Ward is that would both have 1 tuneup before they fought. I am fine with Ward's 3 tuneups. Because, it culminates in him fighting arguably the top P4P fighter right now, the hardest puncher, at Kovalev's natural weight class. And Kovalev got 3 tuneups as well. They have both had the chance to study each other, build up the event, and make some "easy" money in the process. Seems fair to me. Ether.

    Result = ETHER

    Who necks...

The only way GGG is goping to get beaten is if he's railroaded like Antonio Margarito was. No one wanted to get in ring with him so the " LOADED GLOVES" accusations were started. These led to Margarito's career & good name being ruined by BLATANT LIES!!!
Its already started against Sergey Kovalev & his "mystery blue bottle' Bull feces. Queries about GGG's punching power are surfacing. Boxing has gotten so corrupt that If you cannot beat them in the ring RAILROAD THEM!

Ironically, Margacheato was caught in his dressing room right before a fight. He was not being avoided. And what he received was punishment for his attempted crimes.
