I'm no longer really a fan of Lennox. As an ex-champ, he's handled himself classlessly and done his best to discredit the division he left behind prematurely. I can't respect his shameless outspoken bitterness and the harm he does the sport by expressing it.
DIfferent perpective... IMO from round 5 Lewis was taking Vitali's bomb fine. I'ts Vitali who was on the verge of being koed. 7-8-9th
Won the last two rounds? Vitali won the 6th round, and Lennox really only won 1 round the entire match on my card but for the judges it was 2 rounds.
Yes. I poke fun at Vitali for tag teaming and for his butthurt fans who can't admit he lost. But I do like him and think he's a great fighter.
I prefer Lewis. He has a better inside fighting ability, where Vitali relies too much on his height and reach. Lewis lost twice, because he likes a tear up. Vitali has only fought in one, and got uppercut until his eye disappeared. I dread to think what Bowe or Holyfield would do, if Vitali traded in the center of the ring....
I started following the sport in the late 90's and Lewis was the dominant heavyweight at that time. He was so impressive, I became a fan immediately. Not a 'fan' of Vitali Klitschko but I certainly have loads of admiration for him. Supremely fit for guy his size, an aggresive fighter and one of the toughest chins the sport has ever seen. Sadly he didn't get too many chances to showcase his abilities to the fullest because he happened to be a part of Heavyweight boxing's weakest ever generation.
