Be mad about inflation and only notice it when it's time for a fight

No way I will pay $78 for this card. I'm excited for the main event but this card is crap. I hope it flops and Showtime loses tons of money.

If you figure this card does 800,000 buys, and the $3 doesn't significantly impact the buy rate, that's an additional $2.4 million for everyone involved.

The executives and promoters know this fight will not do well commercially so they are trying to milk every last dime out of the suckers... sorry I mean viewers.

The big issue here is the overall card quality is ESPN fnf aside from the main event. The value is not good.

I wouldn't pay 75 c to watch a cowardly woman beating POS meet a guy that he's already taken away any chance the guy had Fight in his backyard, Makes opponent wear pillows on his hands , hire a ref to make sure Maidana doent rough him up & bully him. Why not make him wear a blindfold as well you coward

Inflating the price only means SHO is trying to make up for revenue lost on the 1st fight. They expect better numbers for the rematch due to how close the first fight was. So they are just exploiting what they hope is a PPV success.

This fight does over a million, easily. .....I was thinking 1.5 was realistic before but that was assuming another stacked undercard. I'm a little disappointed on that end but look forward to the rematch. First fight was great. $78 is crazy but I'm one of those boxing fans who get every PPV.

it hasn't been a 50% increase in 7 years though. Sure prices go up. New console games used to be $50 now they are $60. But to go from $55 to $78 in 7 years? Pretty crazy.

$230 a month sounds incredibly steep for cable. I'm paying $20 less than that for every premium channel and the fastest internet speed, with multi-room DVR for 3 TVs and a worthless land line.

I buy every major fight now but it's pushing 100. I fear for the day Ppv costs more than the seats in the arena

Yah but it shouldnt go up $23 in 7 YEARS. thats a 50% increase. Everything else is probably about 10-20% TOPS.
