Are you comfortable with Ali beating up smaller, aging men like Archie Moore and Floyd Patterson?

Literally the entire Anti Marciano camp on here always go on about how he did nothing but beat old men. Marciano is constantly shat on you have to be blind not to see it.

You have misunderstood the thread. It's not about the credit given or not for the wins, Ali isn't given much credit for beating Moore or old Floyd either, it's about it being morally wrong to make the fights.

This is what I wrote earlier in the dicussion:

"Marciano against Louis would be a much better comparison, as would Holmes vs Ali for that matter. And not in the sense that they don't get much credit for those wins, Ali doesn't get much credit for Moore or old Patterson either, but that they supposedly are seen as having done something morally wrong in taking on those fights."

No one has ever said that Marciano was wrong in challenging Walcott or facing his nr. 1 contender Charles. Or even facing Louis. Just that those victories would mean more if they were prime versions. Especially in the case of Louis of course.

You will often see something along those lines being said about Ali vs Liston as well, despite the fact that Ali was 22 and came off struggling with two fairly average contenders and Liston had destroyed the former champ in his last two fights.

Ali's signature win was against a consensus top ten prime ATG who was in his prime and eight years younger than him. That can not ever be taken away from him.

    The main point is:

Ali shouldn't even have been licensed at that point.

It was after the Holmes fight.

Nobody here is inferior to you.

You have zero knowledge of the nuances of the sport.

You are incapable of having an objective debate with anyone.

You should check out Floyd’s in ring weights.

Floyd got a TUE due to dehydration. Pac got a TUE for corticosteroids and Toradol (check the disclosure form).

Was it PEDS or a weight loss drug? I thought he was trying to lose weight.

    Answer the question.

Floyd had already got a retroactive TUE clause written into his USADA contract, months before the fight had taken place.

    Ha!

    Sure, he was dehydrated.

    GTFO!

He took an ILLEGAL IV in SECRET, which was BAANED by TWO bodies.

The NSAC didn't even know about it, until three weeks AFTER the fight.

Because USADA had a clause in their contract, saying that they didn't have to inform the commissions of any findings right away.

    What a joke.

A weight loss drug is the same as a PED.

It was an old and shopworn 29, though. The Liston and Johansson ko's surely took away some of the fight in Floyd.

Is it by definition or by opinion? I mean were those drugs banned then or now? Would Ozympic (spelling?) weight loss drug be banned now?

I have no idea; just asking.
