Are you comfortable with Ali beating up smaller, aging men like Archie Moore and Floyd Patterson?

I'll be sure to think of a great PBF question for my next thread so you can get your jollies off

Apparently it is moving the goal posts pointing that out. And that he just had defeated his nr.1. Must have missed the thread where Floyd and Canelo get **** for facing a nr. 1 and nr. 2 contender within the span of a couple of months. Well, they would have to actually do it first, of course.

Completely agree. I do suspect Ali's team just wanted the money of course.

I wouldn't call the doctor a quack nor say Ali wasn't in on it. They succeeded in getting Ali to look like he was in shape, but it did nothing positive for his ability to perform.

Ali gets a pass on everything he did. Yes, I have a problem with it. Overrated fighter and person. If Frazier or Bonavena had been the same size, they’d have killed him.

Floyd Patterson was the fifth ranked heavyweight boxer in 1972. Ali had six fights in 1972 including wins over George Chuvalo, Blue Lewis, Jerry Quarry, Bob Foster, and Mac Foster. He was fighting everyone. Clay/Ali had all of 15 pro fights as a twenty year old when he faced Moore who had nearly two hundred fights. As to getting killed in the ring why didn't George Foreman kill him? He was bigger, stronger, younger and meaner. He used to roll grown men as they left clubs as a youth in Houston's notorious Fifrh Ward. Why didn't Liston kill him? He was a tough guy, no? He was muscle for the Mob and even beat up cops. A Black man beating up a cop in 1950s America is mind boggling.

The guys point is wrong but every fighter comes with different attributes even if they're the same height. Maybe I'm wrong but I doubt a fighter could have similar attributes to Joe Frazier at Ali's size. A larger Frazier undoubtedly would be slower allowing Ali much more leeway as he'd have to put in more energy to corner Ali. If anything Ali would've had an easier time if Frazier was bigger.

It was the most cringe and uninformed post I have ever seen on a boxing site. Joe's style was perfect for his stature. It reminds me of Howard Stern telling Mike Tyson on his show if he was bigger he would been even badder. Robin had to correct him and tell him his style was perfect for his stature and if he was bigger he would have been less effective.

It's like saying if Steph Curry was as big as Victor Wembanyama he would be better. He wouldn't be Steph Curry anymore. It might have been the worst serious take I have seen since I logged on to the internet in 1998.

Lotsa people think that bigger is always better when it comes to fighting. It's very ignorant, but it's expected.

Kinda the same thing as getting told, "But you don't look that big!", when you say that you box, lol.

You should tag him and ask him if Manny Pacquiao was bigger could he have beat the Mike Tyson who demolished Michael Spinks?
