no. boxing isn't about you hit me, then i hit you. its about hitting and not getting hit, and floyd is the best at that. manny will be given a boxing lesson when he gets in the ring with floyd.

I think it depends how well Pacquiao forces him to fight. Its a valid point you make, i voted for unsure. Personally i think all fans should appreciate good boxing skill (offensively and defensively).

But yea new fans might not take a shine to it.....one things for sure, it sure as hell won't be Pacs fault.

To all of the hardcore boxing fans this will be liking watching to of the best chess players in the world figure each other out.To the casual fan it might get a little boring.I think PAC will be the one forcing the action, and eventually Floyd will have no choice but to engage.

FMW has been doing it since he moved up to 140-147 and it hasn't turn off any of Floyd's fans. You'll be surprise how many people like Floyd's style including new fans. :yep

    i agree with this 100%.

true story: a bar that many used to frequent in my hometown ordered the fight. this bar had never ordered any fight b/c the way ppv works (or at least did then) it was price of the fight x seating capacity of your bar. this was a pretty big bar. i snuck in b/c i wasnt 21 at the time. the fight was so big and so hyped that the bar figured they would have to make their money back and then some w/ a packed house and everyone ordering drinks and food. the bar cleared out by round 9 and had to then close its doors for 6 months to find new owners b/c of all the money they lost.

Absolutely, People expecting Cotto/Pacquiao action will be SOL. (**** out of luck)
Mayweather will be in cruise mode & win by an easy UD.

    Will be very anti-climatic.
(Leaving most feeling robbed & tricked)

Yep. Pacquiao's going to bring speed and firepower, while Mayweather will be defending and countering. I expect a hell of a show. Both are aware of how big this is.

It is still the same which is why most bars/sports bars do not order fights because they cost way too much. The boxing big wigs NEED to get their heads out of their ass if they want this sport to get back to the next level. **** like this isn't the way to go about running a business.

Well if many used to frequent, don't tell me people stop going to that bar because of the result of that one fight. Give me a break, I call the BS flag on this one. That bar had been having some issues finacially, but that's for a different thread and site.

re-read slowly. its a big bar. price of fight x seating capacity. several hundred people x 40-50 bucks. then the whole place clears out. the loss the bar took meant they had to close. were talking 5 figures to order the fight. i don't live in a big town

edit to note that you didnt read the post or you would have seen plain as day that i didnt say it was the result of the fight. where the **** did you get that

You sound just like the Hatton fans before he fought Floyd.
If this fight is made and Floyd wins, it's because he will beat Pac at his own game (the same way he beat Hatton at his own wrestling style). Pac is a beast, but so far, Floyd is in another level entirely.

People who say that are the same one's who know deep down in side PBF will give Pac a boxing lesson. They just want PBF to fight Pac's fight which will give him the best chance to lose instead of fighting his which will be the sweet science at its highest level.
