Are you disappointed in Floyd for not agreeing to fight in the octagon?

If Floyd has confidence in his boxing why isn't this fight happening in the octagon under mma rules?

It's like asking a sprinter to do a decathlon. Ask a sprinter to do a pole vault. The reverse though is many decathletes can be passable sprinters but not elite. Two different sports. Easier for MMA to do boxing because they do learn to strike whereas Floyd has probably never done jiu-jitsu, wrestling or kicks in real training. And you're not going to be proficient with those skills in a few months.

Because Floyd doesn't need Dana White's money.

why should floyd do what conor wants? mayweather is the money fight, megregor needs floyd so he should go to the boxing ring not the other way round.

In other words, he would get his ass handed to him on a plate.

The fight would generate much more money if fought in the octagon.

Was an offer made by the UFC? The only offer I saw reported was the $25m offer Dana White publicised for a boxing match.

why didn't dana offer a load of money to floyd in the UFC then? all he did was offer him 25 mil for a boxing match.

This is a good post and I agree. However, people keep trying to come up with comparisons. You can't compare other sports because others sports cannot end with you getting punched in the face and KO'd.

Why aren't the Floyd groupies (aka the ''Daring to be Great'' crew) praising McGregor for ''daring to be great''? He's 0-0-0 in the sport of boxing and he's taking on ''TBE'' Mr 49-0 for his pro debut. How much more can one dare to be great than that? Huh? Well? Cat got your tongue, children?
