An astute observation but I think it's unlikely that some on here will ever show appreciation for this fact.

It's not "daring to be great" when you're fully expected to lose and it's strictly a money fight. When losing doesn't even matter it's not daring anything. Exactly like if ward fought Aj

Floyd has ZERO business in the Octagon against well trained MMA professionals. Ask Ray Mercer (1 win, 1 loss). Ask James Toney (0 wins). Ask Mayorga (1 NC, 1 Loss).

If Floyd has confidence in his batting he should be playing on an ice rink under NHL rules.... What a silly question.

if he was fighting for a few million then yes he would deserve to be called those things, but he's fighting for 100 million, i and many other people in this forum and on this world would fight mayweather for 100 million. and he isn't expected to win by anyone so its a win-win. How can you say he is daring to be great when he's fighting a 40 year old for 100 plus million in a sport where he has had some but little experience in. Such a deluded comment from yourself.

Oh it absolutely is. McGregor is utterly convinced he's going to win. Say what you want about him but he has absolutely freakish self-confidence and belief in himself. So much so that it's got people actually believing, and not just casuals, he can pull it off. He genuinely thinks he's going to KO Floyd and it's plain to see he genuinely believes it too.

Because he genuinely thinks he's going to win. He has a gargantuan ego and he absolutely hates losing.

There is no correlation in your example but one in mine. Boxing is not high on the list of effective fighting techniques. Take the money out of the equation because it will not be on Conor's mind when the bell rings.

oh shut up you ufc casual, did you not read what i just posted, he's fighting for a HUNDRED MILLION, we know conor loves money and being successful, this is purely for money and so is all the trash talking they will be hugging and smiling after the fight because they both will have made 9 figures for 36 or less minutes work..

Because he's doing it for the money. If he were daring to be great he'd actually be working at building his skills through a preparatory pro-career and targeting an active champion his actual size.

Well duh, obviously. It's totally ridiculous to suggest that he take a much longer path to this event.

Agreed. Conor doesn't care if he loses, losses don't mean as much in the UFC as they do in boxing. He is in it for the money. I'm sure he will go out and try to land a haymaker but once he realizes that he is totally outclassed he will look to get out. Maybe a GGG-Brook kind of thing with his trainer. For all his tough talk, he rolled over and submitted pretty easily against Diaz. He can make his monster payday and go back to making money for Dana White and the UFC.
