Are you excited about the fight or just more relieved it will be over soon?

I remember a lot of guys saying this fight no longer has meaning...before it was made of course, so what are most of you leaning to? Excitement or relief?

I'm excited but it wouldn't surprise me if the fight ended up being dull. Huge fights have a way of being disappointing. I just hope Manny is in tip top shape and is able to be explosive for 12 rounds. Because he's going to have to force the fight. Because we all know how comfortable Floyd is with just mailing it in. Floyd doesn't give a chit about making a spectacular fight. If he could, he'd pot shot his way to a boring 12 round decision. He has no killer instinct and couldn't care less about making this event a grand one.

At the end of the day, winning is all that matters, so boring or not, Floyd is effective. Most fighters that have fought his way have been flat out robbed before (Pernell, Winky) so it is pretty impressive that he hasn't been.

It's a 50/50 fight to me, but I'm concerned that Manny may not stick to a gameplan all night, and I'm pretty sure Floyd will. This will be both fighters toughest fight IMO. It just may not have an exciting finish.

Pac is totally shot now, this fight is meaningless.

Win or lose I can't remember Manny being in a boring fight. You add that to what's at stake, I can't see this being dull.

Ehy, ****ing excited.. Pacs being shot is not a hindrace, he declined a little maybe but the power and will is still there. Getting lost is not a negative thing but a positive for being great and achieve more. All i been waiting for is for pac to busted ducks face and let him taste that left straight, a ko/tko would be great but thats only adding injury to a busted face.

Thats what I was going to say. Pac has NEVER been in a boring fight no matter what kind of opponent he faces. He might lose but his fights never lack for action. So this will be interesting for sure.

Good point. I'm excited, but because it's been almost 6 years of speculation, I'm no longer as passionate about pac winning, actually while I want him to win, I'd rather see a great fight, and I'm relieved this question will finally be answered. I'm just relieved we get to see this, but I'm not anywhere near excited as I was in 2009-2010. After seeing the same arguments appear here in an autistic manner, I'm just glad they won't go on ad infinitum.

That Clottey fight was disgraceful. Mosley too. Algeri and Rios were not exciting in the least.

I'm excited and will be relieved when it's over. Too much hype for way too long.

    A bit of both actually.

Not looking forward to the absolute meltdowns on this forum whichever way it goes though. In about 2-3 months (so long as the fight outcome is decisive) it might be tolerable here again

Of course I'm somewhat excited to see the fight, but more relieved to finally get past an era/soap that was wrong in so many ways.
Get this sh*t over with, I'd say! And I hope they'll both retire directly or very soon thereafter like both said they would. Gone with the thousands of Pact'rd and Flo'mo threads about how amazing their heroes are and how the other side is just cheating their way trough. I'm past sorry to see 2 ATG's leave the sport, because most about them hasn't really been about their skills for some time now.

We all know why it took so long for them to finally meat in the ring. The situation is too ridiculous for words. The cogs have already started turning for a while, and it seems like stuations like this are less likely to happen in the future, but that pesky network and promoter sh*t remains. At least it seems that now boxers are going to get stripped if they keep avoiding eachother, wich is pretty bad for their street cred. Gone with the old, in with the new!
