On principle I want to avoid it.

However, I think it might actually be a pretty decent scrap, even if neither are even close to the high level they once were.

Plus with so many big fights being cancelled / postponed etc, it might scratch the itch for a while.

I'm taking Khan as I think Kell is a bit more shot mentally, but seeing Khan starched wouldn't surprise me.

Sure, but given it's about 6/7 years late, I'm gonna find myself a sketchy stream to watch it on. 6/7 years ago they'd have had my money.

Both look in great shape and will give it their all, but 'their all' is way less than it used to be and we were deprived of this fight when it would really have mattered and really told us who was best out of these two. It's an alluring and very convenient retirement cash-out fight.

Absolutely for real. Won't watch a replay either unless something really fun happens.

I'm not interested in guys staging these fights for chump change years after they should have done it for real. It's a bad joke.

Both unranked, both beat up, both in it for the cash. Quit job wouldn't surprise me. Has there ever been a double quit job?

    Same....

Here's my rundown from Rummy's thread.

I think Brook looked like a million bucks in rounds 1-3 against Crawford, and that what happened to him in the 4th wasn't the result of him being shot to bits, even though he probably shouldn't have drained himself down to get to WW again, and at that weight, he is in fact shot to bits. I think instead, it had everything to do with the trajectory, torque behind and impact of that horrid jab right hook hybrid that he got caught with right as he was leaning into it, it was the neck jarring and head twisting from that nasty ass angle he was hit from that did the damage, and that would discombobulate and rob a goddamn bull of his equilibrium. Quite frankly, it's shocking it didn't KO Brook cold and that he didn't even go down from it. I cringe just thinking what a shot like that would've done to Khan who is equally shot at WW, so much so, he couldn't take a punch from Sammy Vargas. So I'm not really letting that influence my judgment here. So... I think Khan and his speed advantage might give him an early edge, then Brook will figure out his timing, clip him with a few vicious straight rights as Khan's lunging in, and that'll be all she wrote.

How can anyone not be excited?
This fight guarantees drama, fun, and action.

Sure, both fighters aren't at their best anymore, but that makes it more fair for both and still exciting.

Zero interest. The ppv mugs like Jurgen use to say, have laped this one up. Not good for the future sport of boxing when fighters can do this. Be prepared to see Joshua vs Wilder in 2029.
