You have a damn good point. I want to not watch out of principle. The fact they're conning the public fighting several years past it is quite the disgrace. The only thing is, the style match up is good and there's almost a guaranteed knock out. As long as someone gets brutally knocked out I'll be happy. I'll certainly won't be paying anything for it though and others should do so too
I am which surprises me as it had got to the stage where I no longer cared but this week I have been excited and bought the PPV. Shocking.
I actually think the fight will be better for takin place now rather than years ago. Bit more spice to it. My prediction is Brook by mid rounds ko, after been behind on the cards.
You know what...for all my chopsing off that it's 8 years too late n I'm not arsed...yeah ...I actually am...it's their shells fighting but they are both shopworn enough we might get a good scrap out of it
i wasn't before but after seeing the Gloves are Off i was reminded how much a smug tool Khan is. I'm hoping Special K can make him do the chicken dance several times on route to a comprehensive beat down. War Brook !!!!
I agree with this a bit. If there was no market for these past-prime nonsense fights it would make the likes of Hatton-Witter, Brook-Khan and happen when you'd expect them to ****ing happen. But tbf, both gave a lot to boxing and British boxing and they deserve a last big payday if one is available...it just won't be getting play at my house.
I still haven't seen Manny vs Floyd to this day If this wasn't a British domestic dust up, which virtually guarantees you a FOTY contender every single time (we just built different and are a warrior people) and are the envy of the boxing world, I wouldn't be arsed
Nothing new here in the sport. Back when it mattered, Khan had bigger fights/risks to take that guaranteed a lot more exposure and money. It better happens now than never. I don't see how or why anyone will be mental about a fun action-packed fight. Many fights supposedly "didn't matter" yet they happened out of excitement, and they provided just that. I don't understand why spending £19.95 to watch a fun fight in my favorite sport is an issue.
I'm really quite intrigued by this one as both are at the same stage in their career, as in tail end, both are equally well past their best but, the hatred is real and I would imagine that both of them have trained their asses off as losing just isn't an option. I think its going to be a case of whether Khan's chin can out last Brooks orbital bones as Khan isn't gonna do Brooks any favours and will constantly target the eye area, same as Brook is likely going to be throwing some heavy bombs to get the early KO. I really can't pick a winner to be honest hence the intrigue.
Kind of like watching a Chisora fight. It's worth watching. Means **** all except pride and entertainment, but a good 7/10 probably.
My thinking exactly. There is clearly beef between them and a lot of history as well. The juices must have started to flow again for both of them as soon as it was announced. I am unusually fascinated by how this once turns out.
