He's not really giving her life advice, just stating the obvious and goofing on the fact that she would miss an exam for something as little as some regurgitated espn media.
What are your 10 favorite fights you've seen that didn't involve Pac, Floyd, or an opponent of either?
Sorry, but fans like you really do **** off a lot of hardcores, especially when you try to come off as someone who really loves the sport and has knowledge on it. You make so many damn posts about floyd/pac that I don't think IB could just ignore it, he calls a lot of people out on their bs, including myself so he's not just picking on you.
You knock it off, you're talking like a complete tool with this apologist stuff. Maybe you just haven't seen how much of abuffy's nonsense this place has been spammed with the last few months? Stop being such a damn boxing snob and parading your supposed knowledge around. When did I make any claims about myself? I'm telling off a poseur for being a poseur and flooding the board with hype mixed with a bit of supposedly neutral "analysis" which belies a very clear and obvious rooting agenda. This person claims to want to be a sports journalist and yet only shows a rudimentary water-cooler level of knowledge in the pair of sports in which she purports to specialize (boxing & basketball) One of the things killing the sport is the lack of casual fans (not calling abuffy a "casual fan"), and here you are bashing actual fans who on a boxing forum for having limited knowledge. First off, no, it doesn't - and what it certainly doesn't need any more of is people covering it who aren't dyed-in-the-wool fans who are really passionate about the entirety of the sport, or at least a majority of it, or at the bare minimum, not just the "stars". (and it doesn't have to be down to an extreme with like 4-rounder levels of total obscurity - but at least a passing familiarity with the championship picture in each division would help, if you're to be taken seriously in a role as journalist...) - and we certainly don't need someone trading off the uniqueness of being a decent looking female who cares about (or pretends to care about) the sport to foster a cult of personality based solely around guys wanting to welcome you into the club with their super-secret *****-in-your-mouth handshake, and not on anybody respecting your bland, regurgitated cliche, insight-free opinion. Jenna J ring a bell? I've probably been following longer than you and know more than you, I'm not gonna rip you to pieces for it though :yep :good If you're older than me, perhaps you have. The 2nd claim is dubious. Thanks for not ripping me to pieces, you're so magnanimous. :yep
Back on Track....Episode 3 is going to increase the hype for everyone. Good interview from Floyd, Judah, some of their past common opponents. Floyd gets deep about where his mind is at in the game now. Real good stuff.
ESPN is ****ing me off. They are covering and hyping this **** up so much. Boxing can't get any love ever and now they are vomiting up hype like crazy. All because a power puncher without a knockout in 6 years is taking on a 38 year old fighter who's best win was 14 years ago. I bet you if Kovalev and Ward fought next week they wouldn't even put it on TV the morning recap during SportsCenter.
Well boxing is a male dominated, macho and hardcore sport. That's the world it is here. If you come in with a lot of emotion and irrational decision making you're just going to receive some reactions.
