If my British friends want; I can check online and see what the story is with buying tickets for the fight; as I live in the US. Maybe it would be easier for me to buy them if any of you lot have trouble with this ridiculous allocation.
I'd be very interested to know where Mayweathers 4000 tickets are going, theres bound to be 'spares' going there.
**** politics. They want to supress the Brits. They know 10,000 are going to be there in a las vegas second! Even if the tickets were sold at 10 American time, I bet the Brits would snap them up before the Floyd fans. I'll tell you one thing about Floyd fans and its a problem. Look how many guys like him on this site but ask how many of em have paid for one of his fight tickets! Ricky sells out more across the Atlantic than Floyd does in his hometown. GO ON RICKY! **** FLOYD!
the tickets are only available from the mgm in person. the official outlet in the us is those pricks ticketmaster, their site is ****, its going to be a nightmare. they are setting up a 6000 seater closed circuit, the demand for this will be huge too.
I live in the States though; so I could possibly deal with Ticketmaster a bit easier than you guys can from Britain; but do you have to buy the tickets from MGM at the MGM before the fight? That's bull****; or are they already on sale and you just stop by and pick them up when you're in Vegas on one of the many trips I'm sure British men take to Vegas? atsch It really does sound like they're trying to keep Ricky's fans in check.
I'd guess from what Stuey is saying that the MGM box office will open on the 17th and start selling tickets to people in Vegas at that time?
On November 17th? WTF? That's complete bull****; almost every fight I've seen has had advance tickets available for purchase online through the Casino's website or ticket master. What kind of crap is that? They're going to subvert a huge fight for boxing that could get it back in the public eye because Floyd doesn't want to hostile of a crowd or something? I mean, what is it? Do they think a bunch of Americans are going to buy tickets to watch Floyd?
Even that's ridiculous; but as it's near my birthday; perhaps I can convince someone to buy a ticket for me as a birthday present. Hm. :think
I can't see how the MGM is going to sell all the tickets to people 'in person'? Vegas is a resort, how many people will be there after Sept 17th to pick up a ticket and be going back early December to watch the fight?
Maybe he just meant you had to pick them up from the MGM, rather than buy them there? Like you have to do with Ticketmaster.... Can you PM me the guys Email? I'd like a word with him.....
