Did you want to see Taylor die? JT sure as hell wasn't arguing with that stoppage, he didn't even bother trying to get back up, and had no idea what the hell was going on. There was no way in hell that Taylor was going on in that fight.

Taylor showed some good stuff early on, and Pavlik showed a champions heart, determination, and power.

Great fight, and great ending. Taylor is a really good guy, who will come back strong.

Good stoppage. Even if he got an eight count. There was too much time left in the round. Pavlik would've got him before the round was over.

At first I thought he at least deserved a count. However, Taylor was getting hit with a lot of clean shots trapped up on the ropes, and there was one hook that made him momentarily go to sleep, just like when Zertuche just went limp for that split moment against Pavlik. When that happens, the fight needs to stop. Otherwise you can have a Griffith-Kid Paret situation. So, in the final analysis, you can't fault Smoger for jumping in there.

I guess they wanted Taylor ruined for life...I mean..He was slumped over in the corner helpless with his hand by his waist. Some of these guys like to call themselves fans...what a joke!:-(

Steve Smoger isnt known for jumping in prematurely like Nady does.
Taylor was fcked up and probably had given up hope.

nah I wanted Jt to win, im upset that he lost. BUt the stoppage wasnt premature, JT was KTFO. Put to bed like J holiday song. Ref saved his life at that point. If JT would have continued he woulda died in the ring

That was a good stoppage. Not too quick or late. If anybody complains about that call they must want Taylor permanently hurt. I think there's a thread about this being a bs stoppage. :-( but I haven't read any of the posts.

It was a little quick, but doubt it would have made a difference. The damage had been done. Taylor was clearly winning the fight, but one shot can make the difference and it did in this case.
