Are you guyz bein' a bit hard on JT?

I feel bad for him. It's just his stamina. He's a great fighter other than his stamina. He fought close fights vs Winky, B-Hop, Spinks. He was winning this fight, got too cautious and didn't try to finish Froch, he didn't throw a single punch I think, after he knocked him down. Then gassed out.

 

JT showed alot of heart in that last round against Froch.... he has something left imo

 

One big punch that Froch landed changed the fight, stamina was also somewhat of a problem, but Froch proved the experts wrong.

 

With JT, you seem to be always wanting something.

He always has that missing something.

He was doubling on his left jabs and was successful but very complacent in following up with a right. He's happy with 1-2 combo. Nothing else.

 

yeah, most people are. on ESB if you get beat a few times...no matter how close....you are downgraded..... he lost in world title fights....... hes a fighter and you will win and lose at some point. the same people that say hes washed up think its ok for Sturm to fight pure garbage because its "good business" to not face anyone dangerous.....

its esb whenever a fighter gets beat people allways talk **** about him and his career it dont matter who it is

It was a good performance against a very strong SMW champion .... he came up short, its more a testimony to Froch than Taylor.. Taylor is world class, just doesn't quite have what it takes to win against these types of guys.

 

It has nothing to do with being beaten by "white boys" it has to do with being beaten by crude white boys. If it had been Calzaghe who had beaten him then I'd understand. But a guy like Froch that has the worst defense in the world and just throws hay makers beating him? Nah, doesnt fly. If he loses to Froch and Pavlik who else would he lose to? I dont see him beating Kessler, Bute or Andrade.

 

yup...great, legitmately humble guy. he's given boxing fans 2 of the most exciting/dramatic finishes of the 21st century. For that he'll always be remembered.

 

i agree jermain taylor aint finished yet. theres a lot of fights to be had at super middle its a strong, lucrative division. surely he can improve that stamina of his????
