hes 38 been fighting at top level all this time. Other cowardzaghes were fighting exhibition fights with 40somethings years before turning 38, proving he is way better than them.

Meh, he's 38. At the pinnacle of his career - I can see why he retired. Takes a lot of courage to call it a day at this point. Thanks for all the wars, Carl.

Huge Froch fan but he should have fought DeGale after Groves. Didnt like the way he drug his retirement out for a year

Shame he didn't beat Chavez up but that would've done nothing for his legacy, a kinda showcase glitzy bowing out which he would've earned.

Froch has earned the right to retire as a true champ and legend. Sure, I would have loved it had he chosen to fight GGG, but I have mad respect for Froch and his decision. He may end up being drawn back to the ring though. It's hard to step away from the limelight when you're in it for so many years. Cobra better stay retired though. Any kind of comeback would be ill advised.

You do know he was severely ill for the ouma fight right.

And rosado???? He slices up so quickly, it's rough putting him down before his face is shredded beyond recognition.

And to his credit....rosado is slippery. And returns fire, often outlanding top fighters before the cuts cause the stoppage.

Froch deserves to hang em up... He revanged his loss to Kessler and couldn't get Ward to Nottingham...
Kessler only wanted Froch or Ward, but couldn't get them so he called it a day...

Degale and GGG could fight it out???

It's pretty well known that froch has health issues. He has made the right decision, by far.

    As a diehard Froch fan:

I wanted to see Froch take on GGG, and i believed that he had a fair shot at stopping him. But he doesn't have anything to prove and he did what he had to do. So respect to him.

Far too many boxers stick around for too long. He did the right thing...retiring on top with nothing left to prove.
