I think Ennis is a talent but has not faced the type of fighter for me to crown him just yet. I think after Crawford and Spence moved up and porter and brook retired with Thurman being semi retired that there are not big fights for him. I think it’s fair to say he’s the number one welterweight, but he has some opponents that I’d like to see him face. I’m not sure if I’m ready to say that he’s a long-term Star of the sport or someone good enough to be the placeholder until the next big thing comes offensively I think he’s quite talented. I’m not sure what to make of the defensive issues. I’m not sure if it’s him fighting with a total disregard for his opponents or if these are flaws that he needs to fix. either way I don’t like it when a fighter fights complacent because it can lead to fighting that way in a big fight at this moment in time I think he loses to Crawford by stoppage and is a pick em vs Spence
If he couldn't compete at 147 then he shouldn't have carried on as a champion He got whooped, end of story
Aside from his skills, talent, and his big punching aggressive fan friendly style he's also a good dude. And he's right about Avanesyan too. Guy was really up against it but he displayed a big heart and withstood a lot of very heavy blows and never stopped trying. This content is protected
Spence was weight drained? He's fought at 147 his whole career...that weight was literally how he achieved #4 PFP status. Spence just never fought the caliber opponent of a Crawford and it was indeed a rude wake-up call
He is fun to watch but he is getting knocked out sooner or later. Puts up a fight though no complains about that.
