I favor the scoring revision for sure, a guy can get knocked down six times and still win an amatuer fight, but like others said, wish that they would keep the head gear (even though I hated it to death when I competed, if you had to fight two or more times in a week it was NICE not to have an abrasion or cut around your eye).

shirtless too. Our end of the year tournament at Notre Dame had us going shirtless, my favorite competition of the year.:good But it was either gold or blue trunks.

 

It would be you to think being shirtless was something that needed to be required.

 

10 point must will lead to better fights/fighters and a lot more robberies/hometown decisions. I can live with that.

No headgear means everyone develops better jabs, punching technique, head positioning while infighting, power, etc. And much better defense. And I get to cut mother****ers

No other sport has 2 different rule sets for AM and PRO. The Amateurs should be pretty close to what the Pro level is I think so fighters know what to expect and all that.

I don't think they should take away headgear though. Ten point must is a must.
I don't understand why the fighters have to be shirtless in the first place Amateur or Pro.

 

these changes are def a head in a better direction but it's corruption more than rule changes that needs to be dealt with. still no head gear is much better to watch, easier to see clear blows land.

i hate the reffing and scoring this olympics its been very horrible

but what is better?

what cant be corrupted?

what cant be subject ot human error?

boxing has a mystique as a sport and a long lesson of the game is if you go to the scores you never know whats gonna happen

fighters will get ****ed and refs and judges may still do dubious things to get a certain guy to get his hand raised

boxing scoring always has been and always will be flawed and imperfect

the only way boxing will get it right most of the time is if they fight to the knock out
