Roy is talking like a 20 something fighter. I'm very happy for him that he got the win Saturday, he is one of my top 3 favorite fighters ever. Yet, I'm of the opinion that sticking around is going to put him on the canvas again, and Im thinking that may lead to another "comeback" and that he could be fighting and hanging on much the way Ray Leonard did at the end of his career. I really think this is a great chance to step away from the game, winning 3 straight, regaining some luster against Trinidad, with his money and name in tact.
depneds on who he fights, i ont think bhop or jc would ko him.i can see him take a beating but not koed unless he fought like a chad dawson then chad would retire for good. i dont think bhop or jc would stop him.
Roy Jones is enjoying boxing, looks motivated once again and thinks that he can beat some of the big names out there. Roy's skills haven't really declined that much and it looks like he has a few more good fights in him, he should go for it.
Jones should make this his last year in boxing and go out with a bang... with the win over trinidad and at least one or two more top fighters this year would be a great way to see him go out. But it depends on which top fighters he choses to fight as well.
I think he should call it quits after this year. He certainly still has skill in the ring, so let him fight, but he should limit his comeback to two more fights at most otherwise I do see him getting ko'ed. To be honest I think he could make it to the end of a Calzaghe or BHop fight (not necessarily winning, but seeing the final bell). But a fight with Pavlik or Dawson could retire him on a very sour note.
If he keeps fighting blown up opponents he is safe from being KO'd JC .....I dont think could put RJJ out!!!!
If he continues fighting, the probability of another KO loss becomes greater and greater. And if he gets fights with Calzaghe, Pavlik, Dawson, or Kessler, we would see the TKO or KO loss and the end of his career.
