Think about one thing! Boxing is a business first then a sport second!!

Do you really think the business of boxing would want to see a Dirrell vs Ward or any of those young guys in the finals? There is no revenue in those guys and at this point there is no revenue in America!!

Okay buddy -- I got ya on this one:yep

If there is no revenue in America, how come PW is slated to make nearly $3 million against KP, and KP can expect to make just over $3 million, and it isn't even a PPV?

    Wrong.

There is more LONG Term revenue in keeping a bright youg prospect unbeaten and champion.

That ZERO = increased interest, support and revenue.

You are correct though, it is a business first and as an ex judge, I have worked and been approached to make decisions that were not right.

Actually, young gun vs established champ combined with US vs Europe would probably be great business as a final. Besides, my guess is Showtime has the most money involved and US success would be the most beneficial to them.

Surprised, though? Hometown crowds have an effect and in an ugly fight like that, could make a difference. But I think your implication is off.
