In the Peter / Maskaev fight Jim Lampley said that besides the undeafeted Marciano that Lennox Lewis is the only person to defeat every one he has ever faced. I take it he meant heayweights.

Max Kellerman was quick to announce that Tunney fits that bill as well.

    So, is there anyone else?

True. Bowe qualifies. It is worth noting that Kellerman reads this forum. He likely read that comment here, possible from me as I mention it from time to time to the Tunney trolls. Hi Max!

Some other heavyweights have retired un-defeated. George Kandelki....can't remember how to spell his name. He was a former world amateur champion. Something like 24-0 as a pr, but could not get a big fight, and retired.

I think Lampley is a sharp guy. Kellerman might make some foolish comments, but he get into an Ivy League school.

Fight was a no contest, and a technicality really. If we're going to start looking at that kind of ****, then Gene Tunney never beat Jack Renault.

Its a good thing the old bare knuckle brawlers didn't try to pat themselves on the back the way you just did. There would have been a lot more injuries due to broken hands.

    ( Sorry I couldn't resist making that comment :D )

Tunney is incorrect. He did not defeat Tommy Gavigan. Nor Jack Renault.

Ingemar Johansson defeated everyone he fought as a pro.

Bowe should have lost to Golota both times.

    Max-

If you are reading, yes, I am smarter than you.

And the vast majority of posters in this forum know more about, and are more articulate regarding, boxing.
