i think this fight probved how well skilled cotto is hes a wonderful boxer he has a pretty good defense i mean did you see him block margos punches how bout duck and slip
Miguel Cotto has always been my favorite fighter in boxing and always will. Let me add that Cotto could beat anybody else in the welterweight division and should chase another belt and try to get the rematch later.
I was gutted after the fight, felt bad the guy, but he'll come back. He made mistakes in the fight, posters saying he had no chance Blah, Blah is just nonsense. If they have a rematch and Cotto works on his stamina, expecting to have to go the whole 12, then i think he'll pull through. I knew this was going to be a hard fight and that cotto could lose, but now we can see how good this kid is. Cotto has said he'll be back and also mentioned that Margo thought his fight better, which to me shows that Cotto knows he didnt fight the smart fight.
I am a fan of Cotto's skills and his willingness to take a fight he knew he stood a very good chance of losing. He has guts.
co-sign......and yeah, i say fight the winner of Clotty-Judah....then get a rematch **** now that i think about it......my other favorite fighters fight is coming up (zab)....so if he loses also, i may very will be in a state of clinical depression...and it's definitely not good to have Zab Judah be my last line of hope, but with that aside..........it was a great fight, props to margarito and Cotto's still a monster in my book
Yeah I clicked on his profile and his fav fighter is Pretty Boy so you can take him voting in that sense with a grain of salt.
anyone who jumps off the bandwagon is no fan. ..........and most probably support manchester yaaaanited.
I don't know if I'd call myself a Cotto fan exactly, I was neutral for this fight, but I think anyone who is a Cotto fan should be proud of him. He gave us one of the best fights in recent years, fought his heart out, and was right to stay down in the end, he had nothing left and would've proved nothing by getting up to get KO'd and risking permenant damage in the process. I wouldn't chase a rematch though, he was beaten by the better man and would be again IMO. Margarito is too big and strong for Cotto. If I was Miguel I'd go hunting the payday with DLH then retire, coz DLH won't want to fight Margo (a Mexican) in his last fight. Or if he can't get him, fight Hatton for the same reasons. I think he'd win either of those. Well done Miguel, you fought with pride and lost to the better fighter on the night, no shame in that.
I was never a Cotto fan, though I know he's a good skilled fighter. I just knew he has something in him that could be vulnerable like any beatable fighter.
