Hatton is about 150 when he gets in the ring. What was ODLH come fight time? Less than 150 I know that much. So the answer to your question is YES :good Also, Hatton won't be weak and weight-drained, he'll be strong and in Pacquiao's face, pushing him back. A very difficult night's work for Pacquiao.
Hatton is not bigger than De La Hoya. Try and imagine Hatton trying to carry 160lbs like De La Hoya did.
Yes makes perfect sense. DLH has fought as high as 160. Hatton went to 47 and scuttled back to 140 citing his SIZE as being the diffrence. Thats right HE SAID HIMSELF he was too small for the weight. But a guy like DLH who is 5ft 10 is smaller than Hatton who fights at the lower weight? Seriously iv never read such BS logic in my life. You cite DLH being weight drained at 47 which clearly means he was too big for the weight that he hadnt fought at in nearly 10 years. But Hatton who fights at 140 is much shorter than DLH is the bigger fight?! Of course makes perfect sense..atsch
Ok I'll try and make my point a bit more simple for you. When ODLH fought Pacquiao at welterweight he entered the ring at about 145, he didn't put any weight back on after the weigh in. This is pretty widely known now. When Hatton fights Pacquiao at light welterweight he will enter the ring at about 150 as he normally does, putting on about 10 pounds after the weigh in. Therefore, Hatton will be the biggest opponent Pacquiao has faced so far, bigger than ODLH. 150(Hatton) is bigger than 145(ODLH). It's perfectly simple.
Ok lets make this even more simpler for you. DLH fought the last decade or so of his career up at 54 with one foray at 160. Hatton meanwhile is at 140...... Il let you do the maths...... DLH is listed as 5ft 11. Hatton is 5ft 6... Il let you do the maths....
Hatton to stop Pacquiao. Too strong too powerful fantastic stamina with underrated footwork. Hatton will be 152 on fight night. Pac Man will be 147 (or so roach says)
Sorry Mrs Voderman. Didnt know i was being marked on grammatical errors as well. You might want to go back to school and learn maths though. Its clearly not your strong point considering DLH is/was a middle/light middle and Hatton is a light welterweight. When you learn the divisional limits you get back to me. Hmkay pumpkin..
That does not change the fact that last time Ricky was in the ring, he weighed more than DLH did against Pac. While I agree that DLH is the naturally bigger man, he did not lose the weight properly for his bout with Pacquiao and he entered the ring under 150.
This is an entirely semantic and wholly irrelavent point thats completely indicative of the usual Hatton joyboy mantra. Fact of the matter is WHO CARES! Hatton is NOT bigger than DLH end of story. If he was he wouldnt have had trouble making the 7lb move to welter and also like DLH would have campaigned as high as 160. Im absolutely sure he can make the weight as he has walked around before at a fat 190lbs. As for loosing weight properly thats more bull****. DLH has been making 54 for the best part of a decade. He`s body isnt capable of fighting at such low weights anymore and being effective by the same token. Im sure DLH could make 130 if he starved himself. But that doesnt mean its practical nor productive to do so.
I believe pacman will win this fight. It wont be as easy as a lot of people are saying but i think pacman will be able to beat hatton. Roach is one of the best trainer and i'm sure he will have a good fight plan for pacman. He did a very good job with pacquiao avoiding delahoya's left hook so im sure he can do the same to avoid hatton's wrestling and hugging style. Hatton will think twice about going forward when he taste pacman's power. He was aggressive vs malignaggi because paulie's punch like a little girl.
