    Head to head Chavez.
How is AA going to hurt Chavez when he was not able to hurt Pryor? That was an older AA albeit but he landed plenty. I don't think AA would be able to keep Chavez off of him.

Mayweather at this weight was fast with good power but still not as developed defensively. I would take Chavez late TKO or UD at 130.

He was overall a much better fighter at 130. Quicker, more powerful, much more commited offensively and overall more effective. His defense was excellent even early on, he just didn't need to rely on it as he does now.

And do you think it would have been enough to beat Chavez?

I think not and I say this because of the trouble Floyd has with good pressure fighters with chins.

    Example: Jesus Chavez, Castillo.

Jesus Chavez fought nothing like Julio Cesar, and even so, Floyd pieced him up and stopped him. I'd favor Chavez over Floyd at 135, but at 130 I feel Chavez hadn't hit his full stride in terms of experience and technical ability, whereas this was by far Floyd's best weight. Slight edge to Floyd at 130. Edge to Chavez at 135 and 140.

Mayweather has lost some athleticism as he's got older and moved up through the weights. His offense has always been, off and on, regardless of what weight division he's fought at throughout his career. Inconsistent when it comes to fighting within range on the front foot, 130 to 154. His offense against Gatti was perhaps his finest moment in terms of getting home with power punches and that was at 140lbs.

You cant let his performance against gatti persuade you . Remeber Baldomir and alfonso gomez have probably had there finest moments in terms of getting home with power punches against Gatti.

Not really PBF was toying with Chavez for the most part laying on the ropes and countering Chavez to death. IMO he was testing out **** in that fight..
