I cant think of anyone better than Alexis at 130. He would be out or range and outbox JCC and possibly be the man to KO him prime for prime

Maybe Mayweather...I say this mostly because of from a style standpoint he would give Arguello a hard time, which boxers of his ilk often did. And with the only fair way to discuss a match like that is being to discuss it over 12 rounds, that just helps Floyd's cause.

I think 130 was Arguello's best weight. I think 135 was Chavez's best weight. At 130 I'd take Arguello by decision. Other than Chavez cutting up, I don't see him being stopped.

You know who won Arguello's vacated WBC Lightweight Belt? Yep, Julio C. Chavez! Who would have won this bout if Arguello didn't vacate?

What time frame are we talking? Early 80's is Arguello all day over the young, far less experienced Chavez.

Arguello vacated in Feb. of '83. When Chavez moved up to Lightweight, I believe he had close to ten title defenses at Jr. Lightweight. I'm not sure , but wasn't Chavez first fight at Lightweight against Rosario?

Yeah, so the Arguello of '82 or '83 against the Chavez of '87 when he claimed the Lightweight crown. Would be a tough fight.
