I am a huge fan of both fighters. I think that Chavez would stop Arguello, and I think that it would not be a real hard fight for him. The reason I say this is the Arguello/Olivares fight. And I think that footwork would, in fact, be a huge factor. Chavez was much more mobile at 130 at would fight an in and out fight like he did against LaPorte, like Olivares did against Arguello. But Chavez wouldn't get tired and fold up. And Arguello needed room to punch inside, more than Chavez did, and that would give Chavez a big edge inside, where the exchanges would happen.
