Arguello had trouble with speed. He was the consummate boxer puncher, great technique and leverage in all his punches, could fight inside and out, but his power was his greatest strength. Although tall he didnt was a Hearns type who didnt have the greatest physical strength. Mayweather was the best I ever saw at 130. He always dominated taller guys and would counter the **** out of Arguello and probably stop him late but most likely UD12.

Good post, and you're right: The key would be PBF's response to his own blood and pain. There is no question that Floyd is a suberbly skilled boxer, but it took a lot more than boxing skill to beat El Falco Explosivo! I think many younger fans judge him mainly by his two losses to Pryor. That is really to bad. By that time he already had something like 75 fights with 65 knock outs, and was fighting 2 divsions above his best weight! Arguello only lost 3 fights by decision in his 82 fight career, and one of those was in the mid 90's when he made a brief attempt at a come back (fought twice, and ended his career 82-8 (65).) NO WAY does Floyd KO Alexis, and no way does "Pretty Boy Fraud" have the courage and fortitude to hang 15 rounds with a guy who stays calm NO MATTER WHAT, and can change the course of a fight with a single punch from either hand. Floyd gets KTFO very late in the fight while ahead on all score cards.

The Thinman had a problem with speedy boxers and Floyd would be the best he ever fought.

Alexis always has a punchers chance.

On a side note even one of the most diabolical PBF haters Doug Fischer of Maxboxing picks Floyd over Falco in this fantasy match up.

    This is a ridiculous post.

I pick Floyd by SD in a great, close fight.

Arguello is one of my all time favs, but Floyd was just that good at 130lbs. But it would have been a great fight and Alexis would have had his moments. He would have earned Floyds respect, thats for sure.

This is also an equally stupid post.

You can be a hater and still have some objectivity.

How many Arguello fights have you seen? Im intrigued by this kind of post. Why would the decision be so wide?
