He's obviously up there, but JCC is the best I've seen. I give him the edge for his consistency. JCC threw in combination like 90% of the time.

Yes he is. And he's also not a typical mover, nor likely to employ the more constant movement that Chacon and Ramirez employed to outmanouver Arguello (both still took their lumps, the former got blasted) and in no way would he use the outright evasive movement Fernandez employed.

Doesn't have the jab to really compete, not the consistent output at 126 needed to combat Arguello's steady array of bombs.

At 130, Arguello was at his absolute peak. MArquez was sat on his arse by Pacquiao and Barrera.

At 135 Marquez's legs did not allow him to hop back out of range and counter as consistently as he did in his prime. Therefore, he had to punch it out with Juan Diaz, Casamayor and Katsidis.

He's gonna' punch it out with Arguello is he?

At 147 Marquez's legs miraculously returned. Here he'd beat the Arguello that starched Costello.

 

This would be an all time great fight to watch...both absolutely masterclass IMO. Both are all round great fighters...the edge lies with Arguello's power.

The only weights both men fought at were 126, 130 & 140... Arguello knocks him out at any of those weights, assuming we are using the best versions of each guy at those weights, especially at 130 lbs, Arguello was the greatest at that weight, Marquez is not big enough or good enough to handle a peak Arguello.
