Good points. Arguello was only 22 and his second title challenge. He did get hit a lot , one thing we never say about Alexis is that he had a great chin. He took Good points. Arguello was only 22 and his second title challenge. He did get hit a lot vs Olivares. In his own words - "“I was fighting for my life. Olivares hurt me in the 8th, 9th and 10th rounds. I felt like I might go down in the 10th. This is a very happy and proud day for my country and myself.” Arguello had a solid chin, despite being so tall and long he did get tagged often but never really buckled badly. I was surprised in the Pryor fights just how many punches in took to stop him. Arguello had such a strong will to win.
Foe me Arguello has a far more easier task than the majority here would have it, cant see Barry lasting past the 6/7 round, the laser like accuracy of Alexis shots would be taking their toll by then, thinking Barry would not be KOd, more like a RSF or the corner pulls him out, after giving Arguello a torrid time up until then. keep well.
Arguello is my favorite fighter and I'm a very big McGuigan fan. That aside Arguello stops him around 11 or 12th rd
