Ariza: Floyd didn't have to fight that fight

I'm not buying his reasoning of "I wanted to please the fans so I stood toe-to-toe".

Same thing with the Cotto fight.

Give credit to the opponents, and also keep in mind his age. His legs aren't the same. Even in his prime, he had a tendency to go back to the ropes. Now sometimes it was by design to sucker them into something (the Hatton ringpost punch), but not always.

Floyd's so insecure he just can't admit that someone challenged him. Look at his face in the fourth round and how he's crying to the ref, that tells you the real story. I never had a problem with him until this fight but the way he's discredited maidana and insulted the intelligence of the fans, including his own, is repulsive. Throw in that rude Jude interview and you see he's really a insecure little *****.

i'm guessing, he at least has histrionic personality disorder to schizophrenia with psychosis. he has too many reported inappropriate to weird behaviors.

I think he had a two fold plan and that was to wear Maidana out some by playing the ropes and in doing so, make it look good for the fans. However, he didn't know that Maidana would be so strong so long on his ass and by the third round he had to start plan B. He started digging in Maidana's guts and it still took two rounds to get some results from that because Maidana was hyped. He did manage to get him in controlling distance and the rest is history. 46/0.

 

Actually that translation is wrong. Maidana never said that. Whatever you heard through Showtime was incorrect.

IF the rematch ever does happen it will answer alot of questions, if he has lost his movement ect i find it hard to believe yea he is 37yrs old but I think if he wants to he can make maidana fight his fight i will gladly be proven wrong if the rematch goes the same way

 

If Maidana himself say "I didn't think Floyd would fight like that. I thought he could have used his legs more but he stood and fought me." Some of you will say Maidana DKSAB.. He don't follow boxing much...
