Those lineman aren't running in the morning, then working out for 6-8 hours a day like Pac is.

They might lift weights and do some position skills but nothing like Pac is doing.

    I'm surprised it's only 7000 calories I was expecting a bit more.

    7000 is right on spot.

I mean, he's in superb shape. His body is going to burn more calories a day than the normal person if he was to just sleep in bed all day.

Pac's body in a natural state probably burns 2500+ calories a day if not more.

Add in, his extreme, constant day in day out work outs. Metabolism sky rockets.

Wouldn't really doubt this. Pacquiao fought n the featherweight division and his walking weight was between 150-155lbs. for Pacquiao to maintain the weight, he has to take all that calories and if he doesn't he'll go down all the way to 130-135 lbs.

You could say the same for any fighter.

Once Pac stops training and only plays basketball his calorie intake drops significantly, probably to a more normal level.

Pacquiao has the tendency to overtrain.

I doubt he burns the same calories while playing ball. Bball is more of a leisure play for Pac nothing serious.

7k calories is a **** load for a guy manny's size. Normally if you're just weight lifting to gain weight you eat like 1k extra a day.. something like 3k would be enough to Manny to gain weight. He does so much other stuff though that even with 7k his metabolism destroys all of it instantly.
