I checked this again on a dieting site,

A fancy calorie calculator for dieters.

    For some regular person who's

    ______________
    Male
    5'6
    150 lbs.
    30 years old
    Extremely active lifestyle
    ______________

To maintain your current weight you'll need: 3269 calories per day

Note: these calculations are based on averages. Athletes may require a higher caloric intake to maintain their current weight.
    ______________

I have dieted before and I do use that calculator, regularly.

And like someone said here, Michael Phelps was able to consume 10,000+ calories a day during the peak of his preparations for the Olympics.

The super active athletes need a lot more calories than normal, everyday active people.

pac is just one of those guys who has crazy metabolism, mad fast twitch genetics. we all know guys like this- guys who eat a shitload but cant keep the weight on. he s a one in a kind athlete though- is it that hard to believe he has to consume that much?? people are comparing this guy to themselves- i always find that amusing.

7000 calories isn't unusual for a top athlete, especially those made for explosive but draining events. Olympic cyclists or swimmers burn more calories than this.

Shitty Nutritionist who just so happens to be the nutritionist for the best fighter in the world.......Somehow I doubt your opinion on this matter holds any value outside of your own state of mind.:smoke

AHAHA!:rofl Floyd has a small circle of people he trusts and Ellerbe is his right hand man. It works for Floyd so who can really say anything about it? Just like Manny and Roach or his nutritionist. It works....why try to fix it?

Ariza has spoke about Manny's diet in the past....nothing new. And Manny didn't turn down drug testing...he just didn't give into all of Floyd's demands.

Why are you so upset D? Why call people you don't know clowns? Roach has his own mind so does everyone else in Manny's camp. Floyd and Leonard have had conflicting statements in the past as well as every other boxer and his team. It happens. It's not contradicting when you think that Ariza's role is to get the most out of Manny at WELTER WEIGHT. Alex is looking for the best way to make Manny a full fledged WW and he's seeing Manny struggle to stay around 147. I'm sure Manny can get down to Jr WW if he really wanted to....but Roach may feel PAC is now begining to finally fill out to a true WW and that 140 is no longer an option. People can be suspicious about Manny being on roids...it's their opinion, but it makes no difference with how the majority of the boxing community feels about what he brings to the sport. Just like how there are some who feel Floyd Ducks.....Some feel he does, but most of the boxing community appreciate Floyd and what he does in the sport.

I dont think those are the kinds of calories they are talking about.:yep trust me, this what I do...7000 calories while eating healthy foods is hard to do. Sure if you eat **** foods its easy, but to get the calorie count to go that high on good foods is not easy. im sure thats why they are giving him shakes. His stomach can take that much food to equal 7K

Yeah, you have to eat clean. When I have a shake though, there's probably less than 100cal in each one. I'd imagine his are more complex and he must eat a load of carbs throughout the day.
