Could have been some Adrenaline or smelling salts on the napkin. Ariza did tell Maidana in Spanish to breathe in.

 

If you're right, then Marcos took a stimulant during a championship fight which is illegal. Smelling salts have not been allowed in boxing for a long time. They used it a lot back in the day but the corner have a strict list of approved items they are allowed to have on them during a professional boxing match and I guarantee you smelling salts is not one of them.

Ariza really only has the Rios incident that is a black mark on his name.......now this if anything actually comes from it. Like I said. ......I've watched that video a dozen times and it doesn't look like pills or salts. With salts your reaction is not mild it's an unmistakable reaction because of how stong ammonia is. Maidana wasn't even out.....he was wide eyed and bushy tailed which if that was smelling salts he would have been turning his head or pushing Ariza out of the way. I've seen that **** bring a dead man to life! He wasn't actually dead but I thought he was....this guy at my gym years ago got stretched just like how Manny looked...dead! But my coach at the time, Alonzo he broke out the salts and the dead guy woke up immediately. .....pushing Zo's hands frome his face.

 

Adrenaline is or was used by cut men to stop bleeding. If it was salts then inhaling would make sense although my God! That's a huge risk......#1 because it's illegal in boxing and 2......that **** can kill you if you breathe too much of that **** in.
