According to Afflictionclothing.com it appears that the main event will be Andrei "The Pitbull" Arlovski taking on Josh Barnett in the main event of the promotion's second event at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada October 11th and the event has been named Affliction: Day of Reckoning. It must be a fact now that the newly crowned WAMMA Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko will not be competing at this event at any capacity thus; making any rumors about a lingering injury to his hand being certainty. A title fight between Vitor Belfort and Matt Lindland was also being said to be a part of the main card as well as Renato "Babalu" Sobral. A press conference will be held by Affliction VP Tom Atencio on August 6th to make it official. Like always we will keep you up to date on this developing story.
hmmm, so busy thinking about Fedor fighting these guys haven't really thought about a fight between AA and Barnett. Should be interesting, I somehow think that if AA brings his A game he stands a very good chance of beating Barnett. That is a big IF, he does seem to be a more focused more willing to open up on his opponent like he used to be.....so again IF THAT AA shows up ......WOW this could be a great fight.
