Hi all, I'm a boxing fan from The Netherlands and I was actually curious whether or not you guys know Arnold Vanderlyde? I couldn't find a search function in this forum, so I kind of gave up reading through thousands of posts and decided to just ask Arnold was a heavyweight amateur, was Dutch champion for I believe almost ten years, was European champion a couple of times, and even won two bronze Olympic medals! He lived around 1980-1990 and my dad was a big fan of his and took me with him a couple of times to see him fight. So... anybody inhere that knows him and maybe even saw him fight? Thanks! Grada
I know Arnold cause we´re related. His daddy and mine we´re cousins. I followed his career all the way during his hayday. An excellent technican but not strong enough to compete against the top level like Savon an deWitt. Whom he both lost to in olympic semi finals. He always had problems with big strong punchers
